Reports are claiming Rihanna was reportedly offered the headlining spot for 2019’s Super Bowl, but she turned down the offer to show support for Colin Kaepernick.
According to U.S. Weekly, “The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta. They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s Stance.” After Rihanna declined the offer the NFL extended the offer to Maroon 5.
We appreciate Rihanna’s stance, but fans would have appreciated a Rihanna halftime show performance. The NFL need to get it together.
