Nicki Minaj went to social media to share come clips from her up coming Queen Documentary. In one clips Nicki opened up about witnessing domestic abuse growing up and how she has experienced first-hand with one of her ex-boyfriends.
She says, “I remember when my mother would let my father be violent with her. As a little girl, I would stand in front of my mother .” She went into detail how those traumatic experiences helped spa her and that she made a pact with herself to stay out of similar situations.
In another clip, Nicki also explained how she found herself in an abusive relationship and said that it kept her from working her music. She says, “Who was I gonna inspire when I had nothing in me to give? I let one human being make me so low that I didn’t even remember who I was. I was scared to get in the studio because I didn’t believe in myself.”
Nicki didn’t drop any names, but Meek Mill to his response to Instagram shortly after and shared about being with someone who will I use you with the caption “lol.”
