Rapper Mac Miller has passed away at the age of 26 from an apparent overdose. According to TMZ, he was found at his California home around 12noon.
In May, Miller was in a car accident, wrapping his G-Wagon around a utility pole and was arrested for a DUI and hit and run for fleeing the scene. He later confessed at his home
After dating singer Ariana Grande for 2 years the two split in May. Ariana made it clear that his substance abuse was an issue in their relationship. Tweeting after his arrest, “Pls take care of yourself.”
Mac was to start touring October with his new album, Swimming. Mac’s debut album, Blue Side Park debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 in 2011. It became the first independently disturbed debut album to top the charts since Tha Dog Pound’s album in 1995, Dogg Food. He was also featured as one of XXL’s Freshman Class of 2011. In 2013, Mac and his family appeared in their own reality show, Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family on MTV, which started as a 6-episode special, but was brought back for a second season.
