Alvin Jerome Tyson Jr., 30, has been arrested and charged with an open count of murder after fatally stabbing Melvin Lee Tyson, 48, in the stomach with a knife around 5 a.m. in Greenville. The two men are not related.

The Sheriff’s Office said alcohol was involved, and the investigation is ongoing.
