The Queen has been MIA since December, and this week she decided to snatch all of our wigs with two new tracks!
The music was released today at 1p, but a line from the song has leaked to the internet and people are wondering if Nicki is dissing Cardi B. The alleged line of the song reads,
I ain’t never played a ho position
I ain’t never had to strip to get the pole position
Some outlets have tried to calm the rumors saying that the snippet is actually from a 2017 track, “Half Back.”
We all know Cardi has always been open about her job as a stripper before becoming the Cardi we all know and love. In a recent interview with Beats 1, Cardi shares that she has indeed met Nicki, and the two have spoken face to face. Adding that she has no issues with Nicki. “I really feel like fans and people really want to see that happen because it’s really entertaining. To see people beef is entertaining.”
During an interview with Beats 1, Nicki did prior to the release of the songs, she mentioned that Cardi hurt her feelings in an interview she did after the release of “Motor Sport”, the Migos track that both ladies were featured on.
Nicki said how Cardi telling the interviewer that Nicki changed her verse, hurt her feelings, since she herself was only gracious toward the female mentors who helped her breakout in the rap game at the outset of her own career. She simply felt that Cardi should have been more grateful for being able to collab with someone of her stature so early in her career, the same way she was towards those who were above her.
Nicki did show praise to the interview above, Cardi’s most recent statement on Nicki, saying that she felt that this was the first time Cardi showed her genuine love
Ponder as we wait on the lyrics to drop!

Ummm. I don’t think Cardi B seems salty here. Maybe indifferent because she was tired? She gave Nicki her props. #NickiDay pic.twitter.com/3y7CuRJrbq
