Over the past 2 days, more than 1.6 million people have signed a petition to have the NBA change their logo from a silhouette of Jerry West to Kobe Bryant. The petition on Change.org was created by a man named Nick in Canada who suggests the change should happen to “immortalize him forever.”
It was also announced that Kobe will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2020
