On Saturday, Kinston Police responded to a shooting in the 900th block of Fairfield Avenue. Captain Russell of the department said the shooting happened around 1:46 p.m.

According to WNCT, “reports said an 18-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were shot walking near the intersection of Waverly Avenue and Fairfield Avenue.” One of the boys are in critical condition and the other injuries are non-life threatening.

The names of the victims have not been released. Kinston police are still looking for the suspect who did the shooting.
