Lil Wayne is FINALLY a free man!
After years of court battles, Lil Wayne, Birdman and Universal have come to a settlement of over $10 million and releasing Wayne from his Cash Money contract.
Wayne originally filed for $51 million in damages, claiming Universal was withholding his earning from Young Money artist like Drake, Tyga and Nicki Minaj. All artist he signed. Universal cut a check for “well over $10 million” to settle the lawsuit. In addition, Tha Carter V will be released by Universal, an album Wayne started recording in 2013. The rights to Drake and Nicki Minaj will stay with Universal.
