Drake Addresses Tory Lanez on New Album
SO if your wondering where the Tory Lanez and Drake beef came from on his New Album here is a little history. The beef started back in 2010 when Tory challenged Drake saying that if he didn't like his music he would pay the rapper $10,000. Then Tory named his 2015 mixtape "The New Toronto" which Drake took as a diss and addressed it on his "Summer Sixteen" record. saying “All you boys in the New Toronto wanna be me a little.”Lanez doesn't see that as a diss and doesn't understand why the rapper would be mad at him for trying to help put their hometown on the map. I'm still on the fence about the whole beef but Drake does address Tory on his "Do not Disturb" track he says “You overnight celebrity you one day star/I swear I told you I’m in this b*$%h for eternity/I am a reflection of all of your insecurities/Behind closed doors a lot of 6 God worshipping/Done talk now ‘cause there’s other s*&t that concerning me,” It's believed that this line is addressing Tory because it's a play on his government name Daystar Peterson.
