Posted by Keith Combs Apple music paid Chance the Rapper 500,000 for a two exclusive deal for Color Book album. Chance The Rapper has branded himself as an independent artist, and rightfully so with no major label backing him. The 23-year-old artist took to Twitter to clear the air regarding his partnership with Apple and discussed the $500,000 check he received for Coloring Book's two week deal to stream it on Apple Music. “That was the extent of my deal, after 2 weeks it was on SoundCloud for free,” he said on Twitter. “I needed the money and they’re all good people over there. I just wanna remain transparent. Folks out there without a deal need to know they’re doing everything right just keep at it.”
