Mary Jane Blije better known professionally as Mary J. Blije was born January 11, 1971 in the dirty Bronx, New York. She started singing as a background singer on Uptown Records in 1989. Mary dropped her first album, “What’s the 411?”, in 1992 and has released 11 studio albums. My girl Mary has nine Grammy Awards. Out of those 11 albums just eight has reached multi-platinum status.

Blije is an all around talented individual. She has earned many accolades for her work in the acting industry. She starred in Tyler Perry’s hit I Can Do Bad All By MYself and she also played in Rock of Ages which hit the box office in 2012. She has a perfume label that hit the shelves called “My Life.” That mouth watering perfume broke HSN records by selling 65,000 bottles during it’s premiere. Blige is also the only artist to have won Grammys in the R&B, Rap, Pop, and Gospel fields.
